iconic Burj Khalifa radiated brilliance with the inscription 'Guest of Honor -
Republic of India' in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address at
the World Government Summit. The Crown Prince, Sheikh
Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, warmly welcomed PM Modi, highlighting
the exemplary ties between India and the UAE, showcasing them as a global model
for international cooperation.
Expressing
his sentiments on social media platform X, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the World
Government Summit's evolution into a premier global platform for sharing
governance best practices. He extended a gracious welcome to India, emphasizing
that their participation as a distinguished guest would showcase innovative
initiatives and projects across various sectors. PM Modi, invited by UAE Vice
President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will partake in the 2024 World
Government Summit as a Guest of Honor, delivering a special keynote address.
In the bustling diplomatic agenda, PM Modi's two-day official visit to the UAE includes the inauguration of the BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi. During a bilateral meeting with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, both leaders expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and discussed mutual progress in various fields. The visit witnessed the exchange of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), highlighting the robust partnership between India and the UAE.
The
official engagements also involved interactions with key Indian officials,
including External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor
Ajit Doval, and Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra. PM Modi engaged with the first
batch of students from the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Campus, praising the project's
role in fostering collaboration between students from both countries. The
'Ahlan Modi' event at Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi allowed PM Modi to
address the Indian diaspora, reinforcing the strong bond between the two
nations.
As PM Modi embarks on his seventh visit to the UAE since 2015, this trip marks his third visit in the last eight months, underscoring the enduring and dynamic relationship between India and the UAE.
