In a recent incident in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh, 33 individuals sustained injuries as a bus they were traveling in overturned, likely due to a tyre burst. Late on Monday night, the bus, en route from Madhya Pradesh's Mansaur to Rajasthan's Paratapgarh, met with an unfortunate accident.

The mishap led to a chaotic situation within the bus, compelling locals to swiftly intervene by breaking the glass windows to rescue trapped passengers. Following the incident, a prompt response from the authorities ensued. The Hathunia police station dispatched a team to the scene, facilitating the transfer of injured passengers to the district hospital for immediate medical attention.

At the hospital, a few passengers were reported to be in critical condition, prompting the Additional Superintendent of Police, Rishikesh Meena, and administrative officers to assess the situation firsthand.

Presently, medical treatment is underway for the injured at the district hospital, confirmed ASP Meena. While investigations are ongoing to determine the precise cause of the accident, initial assessments lean towards attributing it to a tyre burst.

This incident echoes a similar tragedy that occurred earlier this month in Dausa, where a bus carrying over 70 passengers from Haridwar to Jaipur lost control and fell onto a railway track. That incident resulted in four fatalities and left over 34 others injured, raising concerns about road safety in the region.
