Brittney Mae Lyon, a California babysitter, has been sentenced to 100 years to life for procuring and abusing young girls with her boyfriend. Prosecutors revealed victims included special needs children as young as three. Despite the sentence, Lyon could be eligible for parole in under 30 years.
A California babysitter, Brittney Mae Lyon, has been sentenced to 100 years to life in prison for providing young girls to her boyfriend, Samuel Cabrera, to molest. Prosecutors said Lyon, 31, who often worked with special needs children, used her role to target and exploit vulnerable victims.
District Attorney Summer Stephan confirmed that Lyon procured at least four girls, two of them just three years old and two diagnosed with autism. She also took part in the abuse alongside Cabrera, who was earlier convicted in 2019 and sentenced to eight life terms without parole.
Lyon pleaded guilty in May to charges including lewd acts upon a child, forcible lewd acts, kidnapping, and burglary. Police recovered hundreds of disturbing videos from Cabrera’s vehicle, showing the couple abusing children, drugging victims, and secretly filming women and girls in bathrooms and changing rooms.
The case came to light after a seven-year-old girl confided in her mother about abuse she endured. Authorities described the crimes as acts of extreme cruelty carried out under the guise of trust.

Despite her lengthy sentence, officials warned Lyon may qualify for elder parole after serving just 28 years, under a California law allowing inmates aged 50 or older to apply after two decades in custody. The possibility has raised public concern that she could be released decades earlier than her victims expected.
