Right from Independence, India has had to face stiff non-compliance in the border regions against our neighbors. Whereas some of the disputes were settled through open dialect, others took a violent form resulting in the loss of life from both sides of the border. One such incident took place on the 14th of February, 2019, a day celebrated by people worldwide as a tribute to love. But it turned fateful for a convoy of 40 CRPF Jawans in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. Central Reserve Police Force
The incident left an acute impact on the hearts and minds of the netizens, not to mention the armed forces. In a measure to curb any more Pulwama attacks, the government, along with the different armed sectors, are cooperating to strengthen the country from the front. One such initiative has resulted in the production of the bomb and bullet-proof armored vehicle called the Critical Situation Response Vehicle or the CSRV by the Central Reserve Police Force. The CSRV would come in handy in demanding terrains along the borders, ranging from hilly regions to uneven surfaces. With a hydraulic system attached, CSRV will also help the armed personnel reach the upper floors of a building or the terrace, as and when required. The armed officials consider the introduction of the vehicle as a significant boost to counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir. It would also boost the confidence of the armed Central Reserve Police Force in the Kashmir valley.IG CRPF for Kashmir Operations, M S Bhatia, shared the nitty gritty on the vehicle, its production, the technology used, and its usage. He further opined that the CSRV would be a "force multiplier" in complicated situations and environments. Besides the bullet-proof armored vehicle, a wide range of modern equipment and technologies are also used by the armed forces to safeguard the people on and off the border. Drones, night cameras, and mine and bomb-proof vehicles are all deployed for the safety of armed personnel alongside the utilization of highly modernized weaponry.Alok Awasthy, DIG Operations CRPF, Kashmir, believes that the CRSV will be a "morale booster" for the soldiers, thereby increasing the efficiency of the operations by the Central Reserve Police Force in the Kashmir valley. Since the Pulwama attack in 2019, the government has made massive changes to the defense policies while increasing the spending on acquiring the best equipment for the forces. The production of CSRV could be counted as a significant upliftment in the pursuit to stop another Pulwama martyrdom.
