The Indian Premier League's reigning champions, Chennai Super Kings, defeated Gujarat Titans by 63 runs on Tuesday to win their second straight home game.

Gujarat's performance, which was excellent throughout the game, was 143-8 because they were unable to match Chennai's pace-dominated strategy. This was the next sensible move after the host team scored 206–6, making superb use of the circumstances.

Impact player Sai Sudharsan amassed 37 runs off of 31 balls, but Chennai held on to some superb deep catches as the remaining Gujarat batters found it difficult to establish partnerships.

Just before the competition started, Dhoni gave Ruturaj Gaikwad the captaincy, which resulted in both of these dismissals.

Chennai's incredible performance was capped off by three deep catches from Rachin Ravindra. Conversely, fast bowlers Mustafizur Rahman (2-30) and Tushar Deshpande (2-21) were consistently scoring runs.
