In a lopsided blockbuster contest at the heaving Narendra Modi Stadium, India steamrolled Pakistan, maintaining their immaculate 50-overs World Cup record against their arch-rivals. The western Indian city had been engulfed in cricket fever in the lead-up to this highly-anticipated encounter.

India took an early lead by dismissing Pakistan for 191 runs in just 43 overs. While Babar Azam (50) and Mohammad Rizwan (49) provided some hope for Pakistan, a total of around 300 seemed attainable. Unfortunately, Pakistan's hopes crumbled as they couldn't complete their full 50 overs.
