In a shocking incident in East Delhi's Shakarpur, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death by three classmates after he refused to give them a "treat" for buying a new mobile phone. The police revealed that the victim, Sachin, a Class 9 student, was fatally attacked on Monday evening.

The incident occurred near Ramji Samosa shop, where patrolling officers noticed bloodstains and initiated an investigation. Sachin, who was returning home with a friend after purchasing a smartphone, was confronted by the trio, also aged 16. They demanded a treat to celebrate his new phone. When Sachin refused, an argument escalated, resulting in the boys stabbing him twice in the back.

Sachin was rushed to LNJP Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Apoorva Gupta, stated that the accused were identified and arrested using CCTV footage. The murder weapon has been recovered, and a case has been filed under relevant sections of the law at Shakarpur police station.

This tragic event follows another shocking case in Maharashtra last month, where a 13-year-old boy was murdered after his mobile phone was stolen.
