In recent rallies in Denmark and Sweden, the sacred book of Islam, Quran was destroyed and damaged gaining the countries international attention leading to the decision of seeking legal ways to prevent the desecration by Denmark.

According to Al Jazeera, Denmark's Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen stated that the government will explore legal avenues to empower officials in preventing the desecration of the Quran in front of foreign embassies in the country. On Sunday, Rasmussen condemned the burnings as offensive and reckless acts carried out by a few individuals, emphasizing that their actions do not reflect the values upon which Danish society is founded. Rasmussen added that the government will explore intervening in situations where other countries, cultures, and religions are insulted, considering potential negative impacts, especially security.
