BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis will be sworn in as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan on December 5. Fadnavis, unanimously elected as the Leader of the Maharashtra BJP Legislative Party, will assume office for the third time.

The ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 19 Chief Ministers, and several Union ministers. Nearly 2,000 VVIPs and 40,000 supporters are expected. Preparations are in full swing for this "historic moment," according to BJP leader Prasad Lad.

The BJP-led Mahayuti coalition, comprising the Shiv Sena faction led by Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar’s NCP, has a strong majority with 230 seats in the 288-member assembly. While Fadnavis has secured the CM post, alliance partners are vying for key portfolios, including the Home Ministry.
