The forthcoming consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22, is poised to create a monumental economic impact, with a projected business worth Rs 1 lakh crore, reveals a report by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT). This estimation is derived from comprehensive feedback gathered from trade associations spanning 30 cities across various states.

CAIT's National Secretary General, Praveen Khandelwal, emphasized that beyond its religious significance, the event serves as a catalyst for a substantial uptick in economic activities. The trust and faith of the people are not only fostering a sense of devotion but also triggering the establishment of new businesses rooted in the country's traditional economic system.

Approximately 30,000 diverse programs, organized by trade associations, are unfolding nationwide in connection with the Ram temple's consecration. These include market processions, Shri Ram Chowki, Shri Ram rallies, Shri Ram Pad Yatra, scooter and car rallies, and Shri Ram assemblies.

Markets are witnessing a surge in demand for Shri Ram flags, banners, caps, t-shirts, and printed 'kurtas' featuring the image of the Ram temple. The demand for models of the Ram Mandir is also on the rise, with an anticipated sale of over 5 crore models across the country. Small manufacturing units in various cities are working tirelessly to meet this burgeoning demand.

In the imminent week, more than 200 major markets in Delhi, alongside numerous smaller markets, are set to be adorned with Shri Ram flags and decorations. Cultural programs, featuring folk dancers and singers from Vrindavan and Jaipur, are scheduled to enhance the vibrancy of various markets in Delhi.
