Bengaluru, often
known as the IT metropolis, broke all prior five-year records on Friday with
its highest March temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius. As a result, the
temperature in March was the fourth highest in the preceding fifteen years and
the third highest in the last ten years.
The El Nino effect, which warms the Pacific Ocean, and human-caused global warming have been connected by meteorologists to this intense heat wave.
According to A Prasad, a physicist working for the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore, El Nino's effect caused extremely dry weather in the city in March. The temperature was considerably higher on Saturday. As to media estimates, the temperature in Bengaluru increased slightly from 36.6 degrees Celsius on Friday to 37 degrees Celsius on Saturday, but it was still rising throughout March. There has never been a March temperature this high in the preceding five years.
