In a strategic move to secure support in the upcoming Telangana Assembly polls, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has revealed an ambitious plan, pledging a substantial monthly financial aid package of Rs 4,000 for the women of the state. The announcement was made during a gathering known as 'Mahilla Sadassu,' held at Ambatipalli village near the Medigadda (Laxmi) barrage of the Kaleshwaram project. This move by the Congress leader signifies a significant shift in the political landscape, setting the stage for fierce competition in the November 30 elections.

Gandhi's promise to provide a monthly package of Rs 4,000 to the women of Telangana comes as a decisive step to empower the backbone of the state, recognizing their pivotal role in nurturing the future. These funds will be directly deposited into the bank accounts of women, with Rs 2,500 designated for monthly disbursement. This financial support aims to alleviate the economic burdens faced by women in the state.

Additionally, Rahul Gandhi announced a substantial reduction in the price of gas cylinders. While gas cylinders currently cost Rs 1,000 across the country, Telangana women will have access to them for just Rs 500, making everyday essentials more affordable. Furthermore, women across the state will be granted free bus travel, which could save them approximately Rs 1,000 monthly. These collective measures are designed to provide Telangana women with a considerable financial boost of Rs 4,000 each month, a testament to the envisioned "Parajala sarkar" or people's government.

During his address, Gandhi emphasized that this election was not merely a clash between the Congress party and the BRS. Instead, he framed it as a battle between the Congress, represented by him, and a formidable alliance comprising the BRS, BJP, and AIMIM. He urged the people of Telangana to rally behind the Congress to thwart this formidable coalition.

Rahul Gandhi also directed his attention to the Kaleshwaram project, which has been dubbed the 'BRS ATM' by Congress workers due to the alleged embezzlement of about Rs 1 lakh crores by the KCR family Government. Gandhi insisted that it should be rebranded as the "KCR ATM" and "KCR Family ATM" to highlight the alleged corruption. He lamented that the people of Telangana would bear the burden of repaying Rs 31,500 annually until 2040 to sustain this "ATM." However, he reassured the citizens that the Congress party would ensure the recovery and return of every rupee stolen by KCR's government into their bank accounts.

This development sets the stage for a fiercely contested election, with economic policies and women's empowerment at the forefront of the political discourse in Telangana. The stakes are high, and the outcome of the November 30 election will undoubtedly have far-reaching implications for the state's future.
