Exam Stress and Anxiety:-
Can you guess the "three magical words" that can send shivers down the spine of even the toppers? It's "Exam is Coming!" Oh, if that activated the butterflies in your belly as well, this article is for you. School and college life are fun and one to not miss out on until the dreaded exams come knocking on the door. Right from expectations set by our parents and teachers to sitting in the exam hall alone, there are countless factors contributing to the fear of examinations. Exam stress and anxiety are common among children and youth alike. However, what isn't usual is the way to tackle them. Helping children to prepare for exams is no lesser than the Science in our textbooks and should be taken seriously.  Here are a few tips for handling exam stress and anxiety better for students:
  • Time Management: It is easier to lose track of time while preparing for an exam. You must be organized and utilize time to the best of your abilities in these crunch times. Focus on working smart; complete the most important chapters and notes first. Also, try to set a time for each of the subjects according to your stronghold and stick to it.
  • Stay away from distractions: Switch off your phone, shut down your PC, and take all the stuff out of your room that might distract you and chow down your valuable time. Your focus must solely be on your exam, so the sooner you put everything away, the better it is!

  • Eat and sleep well: Your health and well-being mustn't compromise while you stick to your tight schedule. It's easier to overlook your health or sleep less during exam days. However, if you want to do well in the exams, you will need a healthy body along with a healthy mind. So focus on eating nutritious food and getting enough sleep. Also, don't forget to keep yourself hydrated.
  • Start meditating for 10 minutes: Find a comfortable place around the house, and sit there for 10 minutes with your eyes closed. That's it! The perks of meditation are plenty, and you can feel it for yourself by just sitting for 10 minutes every day. Start doing it today, and thank me later!
  • Panicking doesn't help: Believe me, there isn't a bigger enemy for you at these crucial times than a panic attack. When you find yourself panicking, take a break and start again. If the problem persists, get up and talk to your parents, teachers, friends, or anyone you are comfortable with. Remember, taking breaks and seeking help is alright, but what isn't acceptable is panicking and letting go of your hard work in vain. Exam Stress and Anxiety Exam Stress and Anxiety-Exam Stress
