A recent incident unfolded when a widely circulated photo portrayed a supposed rescue team within Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi tunnel. This image, showcasing 41 workers holding the Tricolour, garnered significant attention across various media platforms. Even prominent political figures like Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore from the BJP shared the image, lauding the display of humanity and teamwork.

However, meticulous scrutiny by India TV during a fact-check exposed critical irregularities in the photo's authenticity upon close examination. Zooming in on individuals' faces revealed unsettling discrepancies, including blurred features and distorted facial elements. Some individuals appeared with abnormal, extra fingers, while structural deformities were evident in others' hands. Further analysis of this account affirmed that the viral photo, along with several others, had been created using AI technology. This revelation shattered the authenticity of the widely circulated image and shed light on the remarkable capabilities of AI in producing deceptive yet incredibly realistic visuals.

Ultimately, the investigation concluded that the viral photo portraying the rescue operation in the Uttarkashi tunnel was not an authentic depiction but rather a creation of AI.
