The timeless allure of 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' from the Bollywood classic featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora remains etched in cinematic history. Recently, Farah Khan, the genius choreographer behind the song, divulged intriguing details about its inception.

Khan reminisced about the challenge of filming on a moving train for 'Chaiyya Chaiyya.' She shed light on discovering Malaika Arora's raw talent for the iconic track. "Malaika, she's my first child. People say I discovered Deepika, but Malaika was first," Khan reminisced fondly.

The audacious feat of having Arora dance atop a train with minimal safety precautions showcased Khan's eye for talent and dedication to her craft. "We made her climb the train without much safety. No heavy makeup, just kajal, and a tattoo," Khan shared, emphasizing the raw, authentic essence captured in the song's visuals.

However, Khan's revelations weren't devoid of regrets. Shilpa Shirodkar, who missed the opportunity to feature in 'Chaiyya Chaiyya,' cited body image issues as the reason behind losing the role to Arora. "They thought I was too fat," Shirodkar expressed ruefully in an interview with ETimes.

The juxtaposition between Shirodkar's missed chance and Arora's meteoric rise encapsulates the industry's dynamics and the challenges actors face, even in securing iconic roles. Khan's recounting of these events highlights the industry's shifting standards and the impact of societal perceptions on casting decisions.
