Post the recent ODI World Cup, teams have dived headfirst into preparing for
the forthcoming T20 extravaganza. Anticipation is high as 20 teams gear up for
this mega event, with 18 teams already confirmed and the remaining slots to be
filled from the African region.
The fight for the two available slots from Africa involves seven competitive teams: Namibia, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Namibia has surged ahead with three consecutive wins, likely securing a top spot. However, the real surprise comes from Kenya, where Collins Obuya's remarkable performances are turning heads.

Obuya's
cricket journey spans over two decades, starting in 2001, and includes notable
appearances in the 2003 World Cup where Kenya reached the semifinals.
Coincidentally, he once played alongside Asif Karim and now shares the field
with Karim's son, Irfan Karim, the team's wicketkeeper.
