Lawrence Bishnoi

Lawrence Bishnoi, a jailed gangster, has asserted responsibility for the killing of Khalistani terrorist Sukhdool Singh, also known as Sukha Duneke, in Canada.

Sukhdool was a prominent figure in the Khalistan movement in Canada and was recently murdered in a case of inter-gang violence.

Sukhdool Duneke, categorized as a "Category A" gangster from Punjab's Moga, had fled to Canada in 2017 using a fake passport.

He had close associations with gangster and Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dalla. Notably, he was among the 43 gangsters with ties to Khalistan and Canada mentioned in a list disclosed by India's anti-terror agency NIA.

In a Facebook post, Lawrence Bishnoi's gang claimed that Duneke had a significant role in the killings of gangsters Gurlal Brar and Vicky Middukhera. The gang referred to Duneke as a "drug addict" who met his fate as punishment for his actions.

They also issued a warning, stating that their adversaries would not be safe in India or any other country.

Bishnoi is currently in custody in Ahmedabad on drug smuggling charges, being investigated by the NIA. He is also an accused in the murder case of singer Sidhu Moosewala.

This development transpires amidst heightened diplomatic tensions between India and Canada.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had recently stated in the House of Commons that his government had "credible allegations" linking Indian government agents to the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil in June.

Nijjar was the leader of the banned Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) and had a bounty of ₹10 lakh on his head.

With tensions lingering, Punjab Police initiated a state-wide crackdown on the associates of gangster Goldy Brar, another key suspect in the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala. Goldy Brar has close affiliations with the Khalistani separatist movement and is believed to be in hiding in Canada.
