The family and friends of Akshat Garg, who died in a Gurugram bike-SUV crash, have accused the police of not collecting crucial video evidence at the scene. His mother questioned the quick bail granted to the driver, Kuldeep Thakur, raising concerns over legal accountability and the handling of the case.
In a tragic accident on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road, 23-year-old biker Akshat Garg lost his life after his bike collided with an SUV. A friend of the victim, Pradyuman Kumar, has alleged that the police failed to collect crucial video evidence at the scene, despite seeing footage recorded on Akshat's GoPro camera. According to Kumar, the police only requested the video three days later, after the accused driver, Kuldeep Thakur, was released on bail.
Akshat’s mother, Rekha Garg, expressed her frustration at the swift bail granted to Thakur, questioning how someone responsible for a fatal accident could be released so quickly, especially given his history of traffic violations. "How can someone kill a person and get bail?" she asked, criticizing the legal system for its failure to deliver immediate justice.

The video of the accident, which later went viral on social media, has sparked public outrage and raised concerns about police accountability in handling evidence. Kumar also pointed out that Thakur failed to assist Akshat after the crash, only leaving his car after bystanders, including Pradyuman, intervened. Thakur allegedly made a phone call before his arrest.
As investigations continue, the victim’s family and friends hope for stricter legal action against the accused.
