The famous Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a former captain of the Chennai Super Kings, looked to have travelled back in time and scored an outstanding cameo innings during Sunday's exciting game against the Mumbai Indians.

When Dhoni entered the game in the final over, he struck MI captain Hardik Pandya three times in a row for sixes. With an unbeaten 20 runs off of only four deliveries, he helped CSK achieve their amazing score of 206/4.

The Super Kings won by the same amount of runs thanks in large part to his explosive cameo, and they are currently firmly in the top four of the standings.

Hardik discussed the team's defeat and MS Dhoni's batting and stumping abilities after the game. He was very effusive in his praise of Dhoni's performance. Even though Dhoni is no longer captain of the team, he still helps with on-field decisions for CSK, which was led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was selected captain not long ago. They were smart with the plans and their approach. They got the hang of it, there's a man behind the stumps (Dhoni) who tells them what's working, that helps, according to Hardik. Thanks to Dhoni, the man behind the stumps, they figured it out. He tells them what's working, which is helpful.

Despite dropping four games so far this season, the Mumbai Indians are still in sixth place with seventeen points. After dropping the first three games of the season, the Mumbai Indians won back-to-back home games against the Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
