The jeers directed at Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya during Monday's game at Wankhede Stadium, as recorded by fans on social media, were louder than his response in Ahmadabad and Hyderabad. But if you're searching for his most brutal or disastrous mistake, it was most likely when he dropped Jos Buttler with the Rajasthan Royals chasing 126.
This occurred in the middle of Rajasthan's fourth batting over, in JaspritBumrah's second over. While Buttler was moving the ball towards the left side of mid-off, the Indian fast bowler delivered a more complete delivery outside off. Even though Hardik dived quickly to his left and had both hands on the ball, it exploded out of his hands, and he lost control of the situation.
Hardik was so confused that he kept recovering the ball while hiding his head with his palm. The Mumbai Indians dugout, seeing the events unfold, was stunned into silence. In reality, though, the Wankhede fans abused the MI captain, booing him with what were likely the loudest jeers of the entire match. Tim David raced to Hardik to try to give him the confidence he desperately needed, but he just smiled shyly.

Buttler had an opportunity to make an impression when the power play expired before being knocked out by Akash Madhwal. When the catch was dropped, he was batting on ten. But he was powerless to alter the course of events.
Mumbai maintained their hopes of winning by scoring throughout the play, despite the low total. However, in Wankhede, the visitors prevailed by six wickets courtesy of a heroic fifty-four not out from 39 balls by Riyan Parag.
