In the Indian Premier
League (IPL) 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the Hardik Pandya-led team by
hitting 277 for three, the highest-ever total in IPL history, before
successfully defending the score. This happened on Wednesday.
Despite the fact that more than 500 runs were scored, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Mumbai Indians by 31 runs to take a lead in the point’s standings, while the visitors dropped their last two games. The most runs and sixes were scored in a T20 match that Hyderabad fans witnessed in history. Up until the second strategic timeout, the game remained fiercely contested despite the apparent margin of defeat.

In his 200th game for MI, Rohit Sharma (26), who was chasing a record-breaking 278 for win, performed some amazing strokes and was ably supported by Ishan Kishan (34 off 13), who added some much-needed runs. In a top-notch display that featured six sixes, Tilak Varma (64 off 34 balls) displayed some incredible stroke play. With seven wickets remaining and the Mumbai Indians at 182 for three in 14 overs, they were poised for a sensational performance before they were overcome by relentless pressure on the scoreboard.
Varma and Naman Dhir played aggressive cricket to match the intended run pace. Specifically, Varma attacked the spinners, easily hitting sixes to reach 50. However, after the time out, SRH skipper Cummins struck a crucial blow by dismissing Varma. In an attempt to steady the Mumbai Indians' innings, Tim David and Hardik struggled against the exceptional speed attack of the SRH, which was typified by deliveries that were short of velocity and pitched outside off-stump.
