On Sunday (January 1), Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh was charged with sexual harassment and criminal intimidation under sections 354, 354A, 354B, 342, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The junior athletics coach filed a complaint saying that he sexually assaulted her. A case has been registered at Sector 26 Police Station, Chandigarh and investigation has started.

Koch claimed misconduct by the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) at a press conference on Thursday, but party chief Singh denied the allegations and demanded an independent probe. Koch also demanded security and a meeting with the Chief Minister of Haryana. Koch reiterated the allegations in a police report and demanded court action against the minister.

According to the trainer, Singh first saw her at a gym, then texted her on Instagram, pressing for a meeting. "She messaged me on Instagram and said my National Games credential was pending and we should meet. She agreed to see him at her residence-cum-camp office with some other paperwork, but he sexually assaulted her during the encounter."

According to a report, the athletics coach said that she would try to meet the Haryana chief minister. "I am a Haryana and a daughter of this country and I hope the government will give me time and listen to what I have faced," she said.
