On Sunday (January 1), Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh was charged with sexual harassment and criminal intimidation under sections 354, 354A, 354B, 342, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The junior athletics coach filed a complaint saying that he sexually assaulted her. A case has been registered at Sector 26 Police Station, Chandigarh and investigation has started.

She agreed to see him at her residence-cum-camp office with some other paperwork, but he sexually assaulted her during the encounter."
