In
a petition, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has contested his detention by
the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case related to the alleged
liquor policy fraud.

The Delhi High Court is scheduled to render a decision today. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma is scheduled to make the announcement at 2:30 p.m.
The AAP president, who has called the corruption probe against him a political conspiracy, is contesting his custody by the ED. As of April 15, he was remanded in judicial custody and was still being held at the Tihar jail.
Mr. Kejriwal expressed his disapproval of the "timing" of his incarceration during the high court hearing on April 3. The Chief Minister claimed that his incarceration went against the fundamental principles of the Constitution and compromised the integrity of the next LokSabha elections.

As to the ED, Mr. Kejriwal's legal treatment remains the same, irrespective of his designation as a "kingpin" or "aamaadmi." Their choice to reject his petition, though, hasn't changed.
If AamAadmi has broken the law, he will go to prison to complete his punishment; but you, the Chief Minister, are not subject to arrest. You may plunder the nation at will, and no one will be able to stop you because of the upcoming elections. If I have this right, your arrest is going to upset the foundation of the system, isn't that right? Please let me know what kind of fundamental structure this is. ED has stood by the stance.
The agency insisted that it had followed the financial route, even in light of the Chief Minister's prior assertions that there was no solid proof of his involvement in the purported plan.
