Amid the relentless monsoon deluge, Himachal Pradesh has witnessed a remarkable rescue operation that spanned the past 72 hours, leading to the successful evacuation of more than a thousand individuals from regions plagued by floods. 


This scenic state, however, finds itself grappling with the grim aftermath of this year's torrential downpours. 


As per a report by ANI, tragically, the monsoon fury has exacted a heavy toll, claiming the lives of at least 72 people in incidents directly linked to the incessant rainfall over the preceding three days.

Furthermore, as a testament to the ferocity of nature's forces, the official records from the state disaster management agency have revealed the extensive devastation incurred. The calamitous combination of surging waters and unyielding downpours has resulted in the complete destruction of 1,762 homes, leaving countless families displaced and their dwellings in ruin.

An astonishing tally of 113 landslides has left trails of destruction in their wake, compounding the challenges faced by the state's residents and the authorities working tirelessly to address the crisis.
