India Becomes the 5th Largest iPhone Market in The World!

Apple recently opened two retail centers of the Company in India. The locations are New Delhi and Mumbai. Within a year of their inauguration, the retail centers are doing extremely well in business.

Apple’s New Achievement in The Indian iPhone Market

India has now emerged as the 5th largest iPhone market in the world which is great news for the Company, Apple. The four countries which rank higher than India are the US, the UK, China and Japan while the two countries which India overtook to reach the 5th position are France and Germany.

While the Indian smartphone market is mostly dominated by Samsung and Xiaomi due to the majority of middle-income households, the premium phones market is now being dominated by Apple alone.

Apple’s Growth and India’s Contribution

Apple has grown 50% on a year to year basis and in this growth the contribution of India is now estimated to be 4%. A report by Morgan Stanley has shown that the Indian iPhone market is bound to shoot up even more in the coming years and that India is a favorable spot for foreign investment by Apple.
