In a recent event held in Delhi, the secretary general of the Muslim World League, Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, commended India's remarkable diversity and recognized its invaluable contributions to humanity. Al-Issa, who arrived in India for a six-day visit, expressed admiration for India's multifaceted society and its effective implementation of coexistence principles.

Highlighting the significance of India's wisdom, Al-Issa stated, "We have heard a lot about Indian wisdom and we know that Indian wisdom has contributed a lot to humanity...We know that the Indian component with all its diversity is a great model for coexistence not only in mere words but also on the ground, and we appreciate all the efforts taken in this regard."

The Muslim World League, an international Islamic non-governmental organization founded and funded by Saudi Arabia, has been actively engaged in promoting interfaith harmony and understanding.

Al-Issa further lauded the Muslim community in India for their strong sense of national pride, emphasizing that they take great pride in their Indian citizenship and value their country's Constitution.

During the event, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval echoed Al-Issa's sentiments and emphasized that India is a melting pot of diverse cultures. Addressing Al-Issa directly, Doval commented, "In your talk, you elaborately mentioned diversity as a fundamental trait of our existence. It (India) has been a melting pot of cultures, religions, languages, and ethnicities that have coexisted in harmony for centuries. As an inclusive democracy, India has successfully managed to provide space for all its citizens regardless of their religious, ethnic, and cultural identities."

Doval also acknowledged the unique and significant position of Islam in India, as the country is home to the second-largest Muslim population in the world.
