In a groundbreaking development, the Government of India is poised to unveil a unique identification number for mobile phone users, revolutionizing the way Indians interact with their phones. This unique ID will serve as an identification card for individuals with mobile connections, simplifying access to all pertinent information related to their phone usage.

The mobile unique ID number is designed to encompass a wide range of data, including the number of mobile devices a user possesses, the quantity of SIM cards in their name, the distinction between active and inactive SIM cards, and the total count of SIM cards registered under a user's name. This innovative system, as reported by The Financial Express, aims to centralize crucial mobile user information, allowing for swift access to data when required.

Drawing parallels to the Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Account (ABHA), a central government initiative focused on maintaining an individual's medical history, the unique mobile ID number serves as a digital archive for mobile users. ABHA eliminates the need to carry cumbersome old medical records when seeking medical care, as doctors can readily access a patient's complete health history through their ABHA number. Similarly, the unique mobile ID number will play a pivotal role as a digital repository for mobile users, making their interactions with mobile networks seamless and hassle-free.
