This impressive haul includes five gold, five silver, and ten bronze, showcasing the nation's athletic prowess.


The shooting contingent, in particular, stole the spotlight with an outstanding performance. The equestrian team's historic gold win, breaking a forty-year drought, added to the jubilation. 


Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur praised the achievements and voiced confidence in future triumphs.

Noteworthy was the stellar display by Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, and Rhythm in the Women's 25m Pistol team event, where they secured gold with an impressive combined score of 1759. 


This trio, nurtured under the #TOPScheme, has consistently exhibited their exceptional skills across junior and senior levels.


Sift Samra Kaur etched her name in the annals of history by clinching India's inaugural individual gold at the 2023 Asian Games. Her exceptional performance in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Position event, marked by a new world record score of 469.6, left spectators awe-struck.


Ashi Chouksey's determination earned her a bronze in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Position event, marking her third medal at the Games.
