Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, India has voiced concern and urged restraint from all parties involved. This comes after Iran launched a missile strike on Israel, intensifying the conflict. The Ministry of External Affairs issued a travel advisory asking citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Iran, emphasizing the need to prioritize the safety of its nationals.

India's statement underlined the importance of protecting civilians and resolving issues through dialogue and diplomacy, warning against a wider regional conflict. The Indian embassy in Israel also advised citizens to remain cautious and follow safety measures.

With millions of Indians residing in West Asia, the Indian government is closely monitoring the situation, maintaining communication with local authorities. The region holds strategic importance for India, not only due to the expatriate community but also because of energy imports and diplomatic relations with key players like Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.
