Indian-Americans gear up for the Ram Mandir celebration, with Sony's Ramayan showcase at Times Square

Indian-Americans in the United States are preparing for grand celebrations in honor of the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya. The festivities, organized by various associations, include cultural programs, car rallies, and even a showcase of Srimad Ramayana in New York's Times Square. The consecration ceremony on January 22 promises unbridled joy for millions of Hindus globally.

The much-anticipated inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has ignited a wave of enthusiasm that transcends geographical boundaries. Indian-Americans in the United States are fervently gearing up to partake in the celebration of this historic event.

Kapil Sharma, representing the Shri Sita Ram Foundation in Texas, expressed the significance of the Ram Lalla temple's consecration, highlighting its importance as a momentous day of faith and celebration for Hindus worldwide. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Pran Pratishtha celebration in Houston will commence with the recitation of Sundarkand, followed by cultural performances encompassing dance, singing, and music in New York's Times Square.

The festivities will culminate in a havan, Lord Ram's Pattabhishek, and a procession of Lord Ram, accompanied by the distribution of prasad. Maryland Governor Wes Moore is expected to attend a celebration event in Washington DC's suburb, emphasizing the widespread embrace of this cultural milestone.

Amitabh Mittal from Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA) expressed profound joy, stating that the long-awaited dream of Lord Sri Rama's followers is on the verge of becoming a reality. The United States, with nearly 1,000 temples, is poised for nationwide celebrations, commencing this weekend.

VHPA's Washington DC unit has organized a car rally, Shri Ram Puja, and cultural performances in Maryland. Car rallies, including the Bay Area's massive event in California, will see over 600 cars participating, adorned with images of Lord Rama and resonant hymns.

Additionally, VHP-America has secured outdoor spaces in cities like Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles to display the Ram temple consecration ceremony on large billboards, underscoring the widespread unity and joy that this cultural and religious milestone brings to the Indian-American community.
