Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy may receive a police notice ahead of his Tirupati temple visit, urging him to comply with prohibitory orders amid controversy over impure ingredients in Tirupati laddus. YSRCP leaders have also been warned, while the ruling NDA government demands Reddy declare his faith before entering the temple.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to receive a police notice ahead of his visit to the Tirupati temple, urging him to comply with prohibitory orders under Section 30 of the Police Act. This follows controversy surrounding allegations of impure ingredients, including ‘beef tallow,’ used in the renowned Tirupati laddus, leading to social unrest.
The police have already issued notices to several YSRCP leaders, cautioning them against organizing public assemblies or defying the orders during Reddy's temple visit. Despite these warnings, messages on social media continue to circulate, encouraging party members to gather in support of their leader.
Reddy's visit is part of a statewide ritual by his party, YSRCP, to atone for the alleged "sins" of his political rival, Chandrababu Naidu, who accused the previous YSRCP government of compromising the purity of the temple prasad. Former TTD chairman B Karunakar Reddy and other YSRCP leaders have also received notices restricting their movements, although some are still permitted limited access to the temple.
Amid the ongoing tension, YSRCP General Secretary Gadikota Srikanth Reddy criticized the notices, describing them as excessive. The ruling NDA government has also demanded that Jagan Mohan Reddy declare his faith before entering the temple, a requirement typically reserved for non-Hindus and foreigners.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is expected to leave Gannavaram Airport at 4 pm, reach Tirumala by 7 pm, and offer prayers the following morning. His visit has sparked debates about religious protocol and political influence, with the police closely monitoring the situation to prevent potential disruptions.
