Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal plans a family visit to Ayodhya after the Jan 22 Ram temple consecration. Chief Minister
Arvind Kejriwal has declared his intention to visit Ayodhya with his family
following the scheduled consecration of the Ram temple on January 22. Despite
anticipating a formal invitation, Kejriwal emphasized his commitment to
attending the ceremony with his wife, children, and parents.
In
addition to his personal plans, Kejriwal announced efforts to increase train
services from Delhi to Ayodhya after the 'pranpratishtha' ceremony. This move
aligns with the broader political context, as several opposition leaders have
labeled the event as BJP-RSS-centric.
Kejriwal,
along with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, participated in 'Sundar Kand' recital
programs across all 70 assembly constituencies in Delhi. These programs sought
the blessings of Lord Ram and Hanuman for the nation's peace and progress,
strategically coinciding with the upcoming 'pran pratishtha' ceremony in
Ayodhya.

During
the 'Sundar Kand' recital at a temple in Rohini, Kejriwal, accompanied by his
wife Sunita Kejriwal, actively engaged in the recital of 'Sundar Kand' from the
Ramcharitmanas and conducted a havan, lasting over 1.5 hours. Kejriwal conveyed
his prayers for the well-being and progress of all residents of Delhi and the
nation.
The
AAP's decision to organize 'Sundar Kand' and 'Hanuman Chalisa' recital programs
in all assembly constituencies, wards, and zones on different Tuesdays each
month appears to be a strategic counter to the BJP's focus on the Ram temple
consecration ceremony.
In
the broader context of Indian politics, this unique blend of spirituality and
political positioning by Kejriwal and the AAP adds a distinctive narrative to
the discourse surrounding the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The
harmony between these elements contributes to a nuanced discussion within the
realm of both politics and religious symbolism.
