In the conversation with filmmaker Karan Johar, when asked to mention a positive and negative quality of Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny shared his views. He praised SRK's dedication and work ethic, acknowledging him as "hardworking."

However, the surprising part of the interview was when Sunny Deol expressed his reservations about Shah Rukh Khan's impact on the film industry. He remarked, "What I don't like about him is making the actors a commodity." Karan Johar's astonished reaction was, "Oh God!"

This revelation comes after years of a notorious feud between Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan. In a previous interview with senior journalist Rajat Sharma on 'Aap Ki Adalat,' Deol had referred to their past disputes as "childish." He spoke of a point in life where he realized the pettiness of their previous disagreements and decided to let go of grudges.

The duo had a 16-year period of not speaking to each other after their work together in the film 'Darr.' This, however, wasn't a deliberate choice, as Deol clarified that he had withdrawn from social interactions during that time.

The root of their feud was believed to stem from the perception that Sunny Deol's role in 'Darr' was overshadowed by Shah Rukh Khan's character, despite Deol being the protagonist. The tension persisted until the success of 'Gadar 2', when Shah Rukh Khan himself praised the film during an interactive session with fans, saying he loved it.
