West Bengal's Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, took a firm stand against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the upcoming Ram Temple inauguration, denouncing it as a political maneuver aimed at the Lok Sabha elections. Addressing a gathering in Joynagar, she labeled the event as a 'gimmick show' orchestrated by the saffron party.

Banerjee expressed her disapproval of initiatives that create rifts among people based on religious beliefs. She firmly stated her commitment to preventing any discrimination between Hindus and Muslims, stressing unity and inclusivity. "I believe in festivals that unite all communities and promote harmony," she emphasized.

The CM's critique specifically targeted the BJP's timing of the Ram Mandir inauguration, insinuating that it was strategically planned before the polls. She highlighted that while the ceremony might be in accordance with court instructions, its timing suggested a calculated move to sway voters.

Her statement further underscored the need for celebrations that encompass everyone, regardless of their religious background. Banerjee urged for events that embrace diversity and promote unity among all sections of society.

The Chief Minister's remarks reflected her firm commitment to a politics of inclusivity and harmony, rejecting any attempts at exploiting religious sentiments for electoral gains. Her emphasis on unity over divisiveness highlighted her vision for a more cohesive and integrated society.
