A business development professional, Nikith Shetty, has been fired from his job after allegedly threatening an acid attack on a social media influencer due to her choice of clothing. The incident came to light when the influencer's husband, journalist Shahbaz Ansar, shared the threat on social media, urging authorities to act swiftly.

Shetty reportedly sent a private message to Ansar, warning him to advise his wife to change her clothing style or face an acid attack. Alarmed by the message, Ansar tagged senior officials in the Karnataka government, including the Bengaluru police, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, asking for immediate action to prevent harm to his wife.

Ansar's post sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many calling for accountability. Within hours, Shetty’s employer, Etios Services, publicly condemned his behavior and announced that he had been dismissed from his position. The company also confirmed that it had filed a formal case against Shetty.
