Modi Cheers Cabinet Approval for Six Railway Projects, Expects Enhanced Connectivity

In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Cabinet's decision to greenlight six multi-tracking railway projects, emphasizing their potential to enhance connectivity and infrastructure. The projects, totaling Rs 12,343 crore, aim to streamline operations and alleviate congestion on vital rail corridors.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved these projects, which span across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Assam, Nagaland, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. The approved projects include significant stretches like Ajmer-Chanderiya and Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, Luni-Samdari-Bhildi in Gujarat and Rajasthan, Agthori-Kamakhya with a new Rail cum Road Bridge in Assam, Lumding-Furkating in Assam and Nagaland, and Motumari-Vishnupuram with Rail over Rail at Motumari in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
