Rajasthan's political scene intensifies as Chief Minister Gehlot accuses BJP of provoking the Gurjar community. Modi's comments on Rajesh Pilot stir controversy, with Pilot and Gehlot exchanging statements. Gehlot alleges BJP's conspiracy in the red diary and Mahadev betting app cases ahead of state elections, demanding a Supreme Court inquiry.

In
the realm of Rajasthan's political landscape, tensions heighten as Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot lambasts the BJP for allegedly inciting the Gurjar
community, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks on late Congress leader
Rajesh Pilot spark a contentious exchange of statements.
Gehlot vehemently accuses the BJP of deliberately inflaming the Gurjar community within the state. He specifically points to the BJP's role during their rule, citing incidents where 72 Gurjars lost their lives in police firing amid their demand for reservation. Contrasting this, Gehlot emphasizes his administration's approach, highlighting the absence of aggressive police measures during protests and the implementation of a five percent reservation.
The
situation escalated with Prime Minister Modi's address in Rajasthan's Bhilwara
district, where he implicated the Congress in penalizing Sachin Pilot, Rajesh
Pilot's son. Modi alleges a pattern within the Congress wherein individuals
speaking candidly face expulsion from politics. He insinuates that Rajesh Pilot
fell out of favor after contesting against Sitaram Kesri for the party
president's post in 1997.
In
response, Sachin Pilot fires back at Modi, asserting that his party and the
people are responsible for his well-being, expressing confidence in their
support. Sachin Pilot counters Modi's claims by recounting his father's past
bid for the Congress presidency against Kesri, underlining the democratic
practices within the party.
Gehlot, meanwhile, redirects attention to what he deems as BJP-instigated controversies: the "red diary" and the Mahadev betting app case. He categorizes these as BJP-led schemes to influence the outcome of assembly elections in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. He adamantly calls for a thorough investigation into these matters, advocating for an inquiry headed by a retired Supreme Court judge.

Accusing
the BJP of misleading the public through extensive newspaper advertisements
featuring crime incidents in Rajasthan, Gehlot condemns their strategies to
sway voters. The red diary allegedly contains details of financial
irregularities within the Gehlot government, an accusation made by a dismissed
Rajasthan minister.
Adding
to the complexity, the Centre's move to block 22 illegal betting platforms,
including the Mahadev app, after Enforcement Directorate investigations,
further fuels the political fire in Rajasthan. These events unfold amidst
escalating tensions and strategic maneuvers in the lead-up to the imminent
state elections.
