In a crucial move aimed at bolstering security, the Nagpur Police have officially declared the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur a 'no-drone' zone, extending the prohibition until March 28. The decision conveyed through an order by Joint Commissioner of Police Aswati Dorje, is grounded in concerns surrounding potential threats to the RSS headquarters, situated in the densely populated Mahal area of the city.

Issued under Section 144 (1) (3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), the order explicitly prohibits photography, videography, and the use of drones in the vicinity of the RSS headquarters. Aswati Dorje highlighted the strategic location of the headquarters, surrounded by hotels, lodges, and coaching classes, making it susceptible to security risks if individuals passing through engage in unauthorized visual documentation.

The order emphasizes the gravity of the situation, stating that actions violating the prescribed restrictions will be subject to legal consequences under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). This section pertains to disobedience of orders issued by public servants, ensuring a robust legal framework to enforce compliance.

The enforcement of these restrictions commenced on January 29 and will remain in effect until March 28 of the current year. During this period, stringent measures will be in place to ensure the prohibition of drone usage and visual documentation within the specified area.

The comprehensive order takes into account the unique challenges posed by the headquarters' location and is a testament to the commitment to ensuring public safety and national security.

In essence, the security measures implemented at the RSS Nagpur headquarters reflect a careful consideration of potential risks, demonstrating the authorities' dedication to maintaining a secure environment for both the institution and the public.
