Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as Haryana's Chief Minister for the second time in a ceremony attended by key leaders and thousands of supporters. The event coincided with Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, highlighting Saini's commitment to social harmony, followed by an NDA meeting to strategize for upcoming elections.
In a momentous ceremony on October 17, 2024, Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time. The event took place in Panchkula and was graced by prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with thousands of supporters who gathered to witness the historic occasion.
Saini, an influential leader within the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community, previously held the position earlier this year, succeeding Manohar Lal Khattar. His return to the helm follows a successful campaign in the recent state elections. Before taking the oath of office, Saini offered prayers at the Valmiki Temple, coinciding with Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, a gesture symbolizing his commitment to social harmony.
Approximately 50,000 attendees filled the venue, showcasing robust security measures and numerous LED screens for public viewing. The ceremony also included the induction of several new ministers, including Anil Vij and Krishan Lal Panwar, who were welcomed into Saini's cabinet.
Following the swearing-in, Saini will participate in a significant meeting with chief ministers and deputy CMs from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to discuss pressing national development issues and strategize for upcoming elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. This assembly aims to consolidate the NDA’s position and address challenges posed by opposition coalitions.
