Nazara Technologies, a major player in the online gaming industry, has taken a significant stride by introducing its game publishing division. This new venture aims to bring high-quality games to both the Indian and global gaming markets. Nazara Technologies has committed to investing a minimum of Rs 1 crore per game, with plans to release up to 20 games in the next 18 months under its "Nazara Publishing" vertical.

In this endeavor, Nazara Technologies will collaborate with a diverse range of Indian and global developers. The primary goal is to adapt and introduce these games to the vast gaming community in India. Additionally, the company will facilitate the publication of games developed by Indian creators for global audiences. To streamline these operations, Nazara Technologies has launched a dedicated website for game developers interested in partnering with them.

The services offered by the new publishing division extend beyond financial support. Game developers will receive guidance in areas such as game design, localization, data analytics, beta testing, quality assurance, and enhanced monetization strategies. The company also emphasizes strong distribution through intelligent user acquisition investments and strategic platform partnerships.

CEO and Joint MD of Nazara Technologies, Nitish Mittersain, expressed his vision for "Nazara Publishing." He believes that this initiative will revolutionize the gaming landscape in India, aspiring to become the country's leading game publishing platform. With a special focus on supporting Indian developers, Nazara Technologies sees a substantial opportunity in the "Make-in-India" campaign and intends to promote Indian game developers on a global scale.

This move comes on the heels of recent financial developments for Nazara Technologies. In September, the company's board approved the issuance of equity shares, with the aim of raising up to Rs 410 crore from SBI Mutual Fund. Furthermore, Nodwin Gaming's Singapore branch recently acquired a 100% stake in gaming marketing agency PublishME for $2 million, a move supported by Nazara Technologies and Ozgur Ozalp from existing shareholders. This strategic expansion positions Nazara Technologies at the forefront of game publishing, furthering the company's presence in the gaming industry.

In conclusion, Nazara Technologies' foray into game publishing signifies a pivotal moment for the company and the gaming ecosystem in India, fostering the growth of both local and global game developers. With an ambitious vision and a commitment to supporting Indian talent, Nazara Technologies is set to make a substantial impact on the gaming landscape.
