In a significant development, the government has issued a directive mandating the closure of public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, and regional rural banks until 2:30 pm on January 22, aligning with the 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir. This decision conveyed through the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT), underscores the cultural and historical importance of the upcoming event, aiming to facilitate widespread employee participation.

The order from the DOPT applies not only to central institutions and central industrial establishments but also extends its impact to public sector financial institutions and regional rural banks. The objective is to allow employees to partake in the 'Pran Pratishtha' celebration, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to perform the consecration of the new idol of Ram Lalla at the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple.

Scheduled for Monday, the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony is expected to draw the participation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, over 4,000 saints, and more than 7,500 eminent guests. The historic nature of the event in Ayodhya amplifies the significance of the government's decision to halt banking and insurance services temporarily.

For those unable to attend in person, the consecration ceremony will be broadcast live on DD News and Doordarshan. Furthermore, to ensure broader access, live streaming will be available at various railway stations across the country. This innovative approach aligns with the government's commitment to inclusivity, enabling people from different regions to participate in the cultural and religious significance of the 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony.

In essence, this directive impacts the daily routine and operations of public sector banks and insurance companies, highlighting a temporary but necessary adjustment in service hours to honor and celebrate this significant cultural and religious event in Ayodhya.
