PM Narendra Modi takes a dig at the Opposition demands and appeals for a productive Parliament session

PM Modi criticizes opposition for disruptive behavior in Parliament, urges constructive discussions as Budget session begins. He highlights India's economic growth, calls for unity among MPs, and emphasizes the importance of the upcoming budget for the nation's development plans.
Accusing the opposition of negative politics on the first day of the Budget session on January 31, Prime Minister Narendra Modi exhorted all MPs to work positively.
Modi alleged that some parties have been preoccupied with stalling Parliament while stating that, many lawmakers have not had the opportunity to bring forth their constituency concerns. He particularly mentioned to an event where he claimed that there was an unconstitutional attempt to muzzle him for two-and-a-half an hour in the previous session.
Speaking on the occasion, Modi said there is no place for such protests in democracy and there is no remorse when trying to muffle the PM for 2 and half hours.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of this session by pointing out that this budget session is the first since his government’s third successive term. He touched on India’s economic progress with the estimated rate at 8% over the past three years, and stating that India is the largest large economy today.
Speaking on the budget of the new fiscal, Modi said that it will unveil the government’s vision plan for the next five years that shape the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He added that the government is on the way to deliver his promises into real action.
In a bid to seek support from all the MPs irrespective of their political affiliations, Modi urged lawmakers to bring their best for manifestation of Parliament’s working. He spoke of a “progressive ideology” not negativity and encouraged MPs to ‘please take up the cause of the poor, the farmers, the women. ’
