Even though Prince Harry's memoir "Spare" hasn't even reached the shelves, its explosive subject matter has already made headlines. Harry claims in his book, which is set to be released on January 10, that his sister-in-law Kate Middleton and brother Prince William at a Halloween gathering in 2005 encouraged him to wear Nazi garb. When that happened, Harry was 20 years old.

According to a report, Harry claimed that when William and Kate saw him in the Nazi outfit, they "howled with amusement." In 2005, a photo of Harry with a drink in his hand and a cigarette in his mouth made the news. Many people criticized his outfit for being "inappropriate and rude."For the "Native and Colonial"- themed costume party, Harry claims that he debated between dressing as a Nazi or a pilot. Prince William went as a lion and also attended. "I called Willy and Kate and enquired as to their opinions. They claimed it was a Nazi outfit, Harry says, adding that he brought the garment home and put it on. Both of them howled. More terrible than Willy's leotard attire! More ludicrous still! Which was the point once more."At one point in the "Harry & Meghan" docuseries on Netflix in December 2022, Harry later admitted that the provocative attire was "one of the biggest blunders of my life" and showed his tremendous regret about it.

He said, "I just wanted to make it right." He gained knowledge from the event even though he "could've just ignored it and probably made the same mistakes repeatedly."On the TV shoes, he recounted, "I sat down and spoke to the top rabbi in London, which had a great impact on me. "I visited Berlin and spoke with a survivor of the Holocaust."In his memoir, the Duke of Sussex also asserted that William had assaulted him physically because of Meghan Markle. He apologized after the event, saying, "If I offended or embarrassed anyone, I apologize. I regret making such a bad costume decision."It has also been noticed that since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left their royal duties in 2020 and relocated to California, the siblings' relationship has been tumultuous. Given that Harry refers to William as his "archnemesis" in the book, perhaps it isn't so odd!
