Priyanka Chopra Partnership with Sona Restaurant

Allegedly, Priyanka Chopra has chosen to depart from Sona in order to expand her aspirations at a global level. Although she has stepped down from the partnership, the restaurant will continue its operations.

After a span of two years since the establishment of her restaurant, Sona, in New York, Priyanka Chopra has decided to discontinue her involvement in the project.

A representative verified to People magazine that Priyanka has indeed withdrawn from her association with Sona. The restaurant, renowned for offering a diverse range of Indian flavors, will remain under the management of its co-founder, Maneesh K. Goyal.

The statement also mentioned that establishing this venture will forever remain a “proud and significant moment in her career” in her professional journey. It stated that bringing Sona to life would invariably be a proud and significant moment in her career. It was further added that Priyanka had always aimed to bring Indian culture to the forefront through storytelling, whether it was accomplished by creating engaging content for film and TV or by presenting a beautifully plated dish that encapsulated India's haute cuisine.

In a statement, the representative mentioned that stepping away from Sona would enable her to expand those ambitions on a more global level, and she expressed enthusiasm for the potential opportunities that lay ahead.

The co-founder, Goyal mentioned that despite Priyanka moving on from the business, her fingerprints continued to be evident at Sona. He went on to state that although she would no longer be engaged as a creative partner in the future, she still remained a part of the Sona family, and they were looking forward to their individual new journeys that lay ahead.

Sona was initially established in March 2021, during the period of ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, but quickly gained a substantial presence on social media. Priyanka frequently posted pictures from the restaurant and even arranged several family events there. Additionally, in 2022, she introduced the Sona Home collection, comprising a range of items such as dinnerware, table linens, bar accessories, decorations, and gifts.
