On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi addressed a gathering of Indians in San Francisco, United States. During his speech at the 'Mohabbat Ki Dukaan' event, he criticized the Indian government for attempting to hinder his 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' (India Unite Journey).

Gandhi expressed his belief that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is intimidating citizens and misusing governmental agencies for its own benefit.

According to Gandhi, the motive behind the Bharat Jodo Yatra was to bridge the gap between the people and the political apparatus, which he claims is currently under the control of the BJP-Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Gandhi expressed his belief that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is intimidating citizens and misusing governmental agencies for its own benefit.
Rahul Gandhi's speech in San Francisco addresses BJP's alleged control and aims to unite Indians worldwide.

The yatra, starting on September 7th, 2022, from Kanyakumari, concluded in Jammu and Kashmir in January this year. It aimed to promote unity and foster a sense of affection, respect, and humility among the diverse population of India.

Gandhi drew parallels to historical figures who, in his opinion, similarly brought the nation together through their spiritual teachings. He mentioned revered personalities such as Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Basavanna Ji, and Narayana Guru Ji, emphasizing their contributions to uniting the country.

His visit to the United States spans over ten days and is part of his effort to engage with the Indian diaspora and foster connections with the global Indian community.

Gandhi's criticism of the BJP and its alleged control over key instruments of communication highlights his concerns about the government's influence on public discourse and its impact on democratic processes.

His 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' (India Unite Journey).

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, a symbol of Gandhi's mission to unite the people of India, signifies his commitment to addressing societal divisions and promoting harmony. By engaging with Indians in San Francisco, he aimed to garner support from the diaspora and build networks to further his political objectives.

Critics argue that Gandhi's visit to the United States serves as a platform to voice his concerns about the current government and its policies. By expressing his views on an international stage, he aims to draw attention to what he perceives as threats to democratic values and the misuse of power by the ruling party.
