In a heartwarming turn of events at the 69th National Film Awards, Ranbir Kapoor's genuine gesture stole the spotlight. President Droupadi Murmu honored the legendary Waheeda Rehman with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. This event also celebrated other winners, such as Allu Arjun, Alia Bhatt, and Kriti Sanon.

In a heartwarming turn of events at the 69th National Film Awards, Ranbir Kapoor's genuine gesture stole the spotlight. President Droupadi Murmu honored the legendary Waheeda Rehman with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. This event also celebrated other winners, such as Allu Arjun, Alia Bhatt, and Kriti Sanon.

The ceremony took place at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi, where Ranbir Kapoor was present to support his wife, Alia. However, the evening took an unexpected turn when Ranbir stepped up. A viral video circulating on social media captured the moment when Ranbir requested the photographers to be cautious as the iconic Waheeda Rehman was seated in the front row. He stood up and urged them, "Please take care," ensuring her comfort. Later, he shared the situation with Alia.

Waheeda Rehman's reaction to receiving the award was nothing short of heartfelt. The 85-year-old actress dedicated the award to the entire film industry and its various departments. In her acceptance speech, she expressed her gratitude and humility, acknowledging the pivotal role played by directors, producers, technicians, writers, dialogue writers, music directors, and musicians in her journey.

Rehman highlighted the support, respect, and love she received from makeup artists, hair, and costume designers, emphasizing that filmmaking is a collective effort. She shared her award with all the departments of the film industry, reinforcing that films are the result of collaborative teamwork.

The jury reviewed a total of 280 feature films in 28 languages as part of the National Film Awards. Additionally, the awards recognized winners in 24 non-feature film categories, with producer-director Shrishti Lkhera winning the top prize for "Ek Tha Gaon."

Ranbir Kapoor's thoughtful act added a unique and heartwarming touch to the National Film Awards ceremony, celebrating the essence of Indian cinema's rich history and the collaboration of all its dedicated professionals.
