Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his condolences after the Hathras Stampede Tragedy

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to Indian leaders over the Hathras stampede tragedy that claimed 121 lives. The incident occurred during a religious event in Uttar Pradesh. A judicial probe has been ordered, and an FIR filed against the organizers.

The Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered condolences to the President of India Droupadi Murmu and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi over the stampede in Hathras Uttar Pradesh that resulted in 121 people’s death.

On Wednesday Putin wrote the following message, “Please, accept my deepest condolences in connection with the tragic accident in Uttar Pradesh. ”Kindly convey my condolences and words of encouragement to the families and friends of the deceased and prayers for the speedy recovery of those who were affected.

This tragedy occurred on Tuesday while a ‘Satsang’ a religious congregation presided over by Bhole Baba in Rati Bhanpur village, Sikandra Rau of Hathras district. Some had gathered at a marquee that was put up especially for the event.

Police attributed many deaths to overcrowding, inadequate number of exits, and unfavourable weather. Some of the eye-witnesses told that the stampede started when the preacher was descending down the stage, when people surged forward to have a touch with him.

To the misfortune, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the government to launch a judicial probe into the sad incident. A case has been lodged against the event organizers for not providing any proof and violating the permit guidelines which allowed 2. 5 lakh people to attend when only 80,000 were allowed.

The police of Uttar Pradesh have formed the SIT with ADG Agra to investigate the case in a proper manner. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “There are many aspects that require probe. ”

The entire country is saddened by this loss of human life and heads of states from other countries including the president Putin also send their condolences.
