Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium on Monday, the Chennai Super Kings defeated
the Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets under the captaincy of Ruturaj Gaikwad.
The match was an Indian Premier League 2024 contest. Guiding his team to victory, Gaikwad demonstrated outstanding leadership. With an unbeaten half-century(67) from Gaikwad leading the chase, CSK won their third game of the season and ended KKR's winning run with an aggressive 28 runs from Shivam Dube off just 18 balls. Gaikwad made history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by being the first skipper of CSK to score fifty runs in the previous five years.

Dhoni scored fifty runs in the 2022 competition even though Ravindra Jadeja was the team captain. After the club had lost two games in a row, CSK bowled first and held the Kolkata Knight Riders to 137 for nine runs during their innings.
Veteran all-rounder Jadeja (3/18) led CSK's assault at the Chepauk, resulting in frequent wickets and a successful attempt to limit the amount of runs scored. Moreover, spinner Tushar Deshpande (3/33) bowled three batsmen and Mustafizur Rahman (2/22) took two wickets. KKR's top scorer, Shreya sIyer, amassed 34 runs off of 32 balls.
