Security Forces in Dantewada Kill Three Naxals in Gunfight, Recover Ammunition

In a significant operation in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, security forces engaged in a fierce encounter with Naxals, resulting in the demise of three insurgents. The clash occurred during an anti-Naxal operation, initiated based on credible intelligence, marking a pivotal moment along the Dantewada-Sukma Border.

In a tense operation within Chhattisgarh's Dantewada region, security forces engaged in a fierce exchange with Naxals, resulting in the demise of three insurgents. The skirmish unfolded between Tumakpal and Dabba Kunna village, marking a significant encounter along the Dantewada-Sukma Border.

The clash transpired during an anti-Naxal operation initiated by a combined unit of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Bastar Fighters, orchestrated to root out Naxal presence in the region. The joint team, operating from the Tumakpal police camp, ventured towards Dabbakunna, strategically positioned on the inter-district border between Dantewada and Sukma.

Dantewada's Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Rai, confirmed that credible intelligence prompted the operation, leading to the successful elimination of three Naxals. Rai detailed, "We received information on the presence of Naxals at Tumakpal and Dabba Kunna village along the Dantewada-Sukma Border. The Naxals initiated gunfire, met with retaliation from security forces, resulting in three casualties."

The identities of the deceased Naxals remain undisclosed, pending further investigation. Authorities continue a comprehensive search operation in the vicinity to secure additional information and potential evidence related to the encounter.
