within the party reveal that the BJP, eyeing a comprehensive victory in the
polls, convened at the national capital to deliberate on its electoral
strategy, particularly focusing on Uttar Pradesh, a state pivotal for the
party's aspirations, being the largest contributor of MPs to the Lok Sabha.
Key figures like PM Narendra Modi, slated to contest from Varanasi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, expected to contest from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, are central to the party's plans. The candidate list is likely to prioritize constituencies where the BJP faced defeat in the previous elections. The meeting, presided over by BJP national president JP Nadda and attended by prominent leaders including Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, underscores the party's concerted efforts towards electoral dominance.
